These are the terms you agree to when you create a WellSavvy account or use this website. We have tried to write them the way we write everything else: plainly, and without hiding anything in the middle of a long paragraph. Where they are short, it is because the answer is short.

what WellSavvy is

WellSavvy is a nutrition app. It follows what you log, models what your body takes in, and shows you how that moves over weeks and months. It is for everyday understanding and wellbeing.

It is not a medical device and it is not medical advice. It does not diagnose, treat, cure, or manage any condition, and it is not a substitute for a doctor, a dietitian, or anyone else who knows your history. If something about your health concerns you, please talk to a clinician. Nothing WellSavvy shows you should delay that.

what we can and cannot promise about the numbers

The nutrient picture WellSavvy shows you is a model. It is built from what you log, from published nutrition research on how the body absorbs and uses each nutrient, and from our own work on how long a reserve lasts. Where the science is settled we follow it, and where we are estimating we say so, in the app.

A model is not a measurement. WellSavvy does not test your blood and cannot tell you what is actually in your body. Treat what it shows as a considered estimate, useful for seeing direction and change over time, and not as a clinical result.

your account

You need to be 18 or over to use WellSavvy. You are responsible for keeping your sign-in details to yourself, and for what happens under your account. One account per person.

Tell us what is true. The app calculates your targets from your age, sex, weight, activity, and life stage, so wrong information there produces wrong targets.

your content stays yours

What you log belongs to you. You give us permission to store it and process it so the app can work, and that permission ends when you delete your account. We do not sell it, and we do not use it to build advertising audiences. What we collect and how we handle it is set out in the privacy policy, which is part of these terms.

You can delete your account from inside the app at any time, and everything in it goes with it. How to do that.

what we ask of you

Don't try to break into the service, scrape it, resell it, or use it to build a competing product. Don't upload anything you don't have the right to. Don't use WellSavvy to give anyone else medical advice.

if you are testing an early build

Pre-release builds are unfinished by definition. They may be wrong, they may lose data, and an account created during testing may not carry over to the released version. We will tell you before that happens if we can. Anything you tell us about a test build is yours to say freely, and we will not quote you anywhere public without asking you first.

paying for it, when that exists

WellSavvy is free while we are building it. When a paid subscription exists, the price, the billing period, and the trial will be shown to you before you are charged, and the app store you bought it through handles the payment, the renewal, and the refund. You cancel through that store, not through us. We will never start charging an existing account without telling you first and giving you a way out.

the honest limits

We build this carefully and we still cannot promise the service will always be available, always be correct, or never lose anything. To the extent the law allows, WellSavvy is provided as it is, and we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss. Nothing here limits liability that cannot legally be limited, and nothing here takes away consumer rights you have where you live.

ending it

You can stop using WellSavvy and delete your account whenever you like, for any reason or none. We can close an account that is being used to harm the service or other people, and if we do that we will tell you why.

changes to these terms

If we change something that matters, we will say so in the app or by email before it takes effect, not quietly. Continuing to use WellSavvy after that means the new version applies.
